what should I be planting right now for fall? I have full sun areas and shady areas? Also, our lawn has bare spots, what can I do for those areas?
Thanks for your feedback, Nancy

There are lots of cool season annuals you can plant right now. Pansies, calendula, sweetpeas, stocks, ornamental kale, snapdragons and even primroses. You can also overseed the bare areas of your lawn now by raking out the dead grass, broadcasting seed and then sprinkling about a quarter inch of peat moss over the new seeds. This will help keep the seeds moist so they will sprout right away but will also keep birds from feasting on the seeds! Best wishes with your fall garden projects.
