What can be eating my rose of sharon shrubs? - Knowledgebase Question

Hi I planted 5 shrubs in Spring this year.Something ate one down to the ground while my 4 others are being eaten,too. These grow fast I noticed, but sad I may not have any soon! Thank you in advance for your help. Gail Becker

If the leaves are actually being eaten, I suspect caterpillars. If the leaves and stems are disappearing I'd suspect deer. Caterpillars are easy to control with Bt which is in products such as Dipel and Thuricide. Deer can be repelled with products such as Deer Away and Ropel. Hope this works for you!
