I bought several of your very large container mums today. Can I leave them in the pots until next year.

The mums should be fine in containers all winter long, as long as the containers have adequate drainage. It's not the cold weather that will affected them, but soggy soils can suffocate the roots. I keep mine in containers throughout the year in my Seattle garden, but dig and divide them every 3 years and replace the potting soil. There's no reason you can't do the same. Enjoy!
