crepe mertels - Knowledgebase Question

I live in springhill fl.it is mid september my crepe mertels are in full bloom i lit the bittem sucker stocks grow(just lazy)can i cut them off and replant them now or wait and just bye using root tone.are they a hard plant to grow from cuttings.will the flower get light on the cuttings

It's not too late in Florida to dig and divide your crape myrtle. Wait until it has finished blooming, then prune it back. You can take cuttings and dip them in rooting hormone. They should root for you by next spring. Best wishes with your crape myrtles.
