Pines - Knowledgebase Question

I have austrian pines, mungo pines and some hand dug pines from the local mountains. Winter is coming, what shouls i do besides deep water? I have sandy soil that I have pepped up with potting soil. feeding? Etc Any pines and typical tips to get done this fall will help. I want these babys to grow and they just didnt do much over the summer but they did remain green and healthy. Thanks. Matt

The pines and other evergreens you dug from the mountains should be cold hardy to your region and should not need any winter protection. I know it's difficult to just stand back and let them fend for themselves, but as long as they are growing in soil that drains well, they should weather the winter storms without problem.
