| My gladiolus have bloomed and I am not sure what to do with the foliage that remains. I would like to trim it back but I am not sure if that is the right thing to do? Will I need to dig them up at the end of the season? We do get very cold winters. |
| Glads need that remaining foliage to grow and rebuild or strengthen the bulbs after blooming. This is how they are able to bloom the following year. You can leave them in the ground until frost kills the tops. Then gently dig them up and save the largest ones for replanting next year. |
