The Q&A Archives: Germinating Job's Tears

Question: My problem is I have some Job's tears seeds and the directions on the package are not clear on how to germinate the seeds as well as general requirements! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Russell Wilson Clarksville, AR

Answer: Soak seeds in warm water overnight and provide 60-70 degrees thereafter. Sow seeds 1/2" deep 6-8 weeks before last frost. Seeds will germinate in 15-28 days. Plant outdoors after last frost, when temperatures remain above 45 degrees F. 18" apart in full sun or light shade in rich, well-drained soil. Water in dry weather. It will self-seed.
