| Tuberous begonias are among the most magnificent flowering plants you can grow! They prefer filtered shade and daily misting to keep them in top shape. Most will bloom in late summer and early fall, so expect yours to burst forth with blooms any time now. In the late fall, after the stems begin to wilt, reduce watering. When the stems fall off the plant on their own, lift the tuber, shake off the dirt, dry the tuber in the sunshine for a few days and then store in a cool, dry place. In the spring new pink buds will form on the tuber. Plant in pots or directly in the garden, placing the tuber just barely below the soil surface, begin watering, and new stems will appear. |
