Answer: Godetia is the same as Godisha, and both are Clarkia amoena. The plant is native on the West Coast from California to British Columbia. There are two wild forms, both are coarse-stemmed and sprawling with upright buds that open into cup-shaped pink or lavender flowers, 2 inches across, and usually blotched with crimson. Seeds of named varieties are difficult to find, but strains of mixed colors are readily available. Try Johnny's Selected Seeds, Foss Hill Rd., Albion, Maine 04910-9731. Phone (207) 437-4301.
