The Q&A Archives: Yellow Leaves on Pansies

Question: Some of my pansies have leaves with yellow edges. Do they need to be fed additional fertilizer, or what else could be causing the problem? Marie Held Port Richey, FL

Answer: It could be too much sun, heat or water that's casuing the yellowing of the leaf edges. I'd make sure they get afternoon shade, don't overwater and if you want, feed them with a dilute solution of Miracle Gro or some other liquid plant food. It's tough to grow pansies for long in the hot Florida springs.
