Answer: You can start them now in a cool, indoor location or wait until fall/winter if you wish. Select a good, disease free seed starting mix and just cover the seeds a 1/4 inch with the mix. Keep moist but don't overwater. Germination can be a bit slow (over a month) so be patient. Some gardeners place the planting tray in a dry cleaner's bag to hold in moisture until the seed germinate. After seeds emerge remove the bag.
