The Q&A Archives: Potato Onions

Question: Do you know of an onion called 'potato onions'? If so do you know where I can get seeds or plants?

Answer: Potato onions (Allium cepa Aggregatum group) are also called multiplier onions. Shallots are also in this category. These are best planted in very early spring, as soon as you can work the soil. You can order them from Ronniger's Seed & Potato Co., PO Box 307, Ellensburg, WA 96926, ph# 509/925-6025. Enjoy!
