| I just purchased some Phlox seeds for next year (.10 a pack). The directions indicate that the seeds should be planted indoors. I was under the assumption that they could be directly seeded outdoors as soon as the soil is workable. Also, should I refrigerate seeds for next year or are they o.k. in package. |
| Annual phlox can be direct seeded in spring while the soil is cool, and even before your last frost. You can start them indoors in flats to get a jump on bloom. Plan to put them out 2-3 weeks prior to your last frost. Perennial phlox do require cold treatment, require darkness to germinate, and germination can take up to a month. Enjoy! |
