We planted a roly poly zucchini squash, thinking it was your basic zucchini. They are about the size of a cantaloupe right now, when do we pick them? Should we wait until they are larger, or harvest now?

The roly poly zucchinis are touted as each being just the right size for one serving, so I think yours may be overly large. In my experience, zucchinis usually taste best when picked quite small, so I wouldn't wait any longer. If they seem pithy or are otherwise not very tasty, try again but pick the next ones while they are small -- maybe about baseball size or even less. Once you pick these big ones the plant should make lots more, and picking them often will help keep the plants producing. Good luck with your zukes!
