The Q&A Archives: Amaryllis Belladonna

Question: Will these plants bloom more than once and what should I feed them?

Answer: Amaryllis belladonna (Brunsvigia rosea) grows in full sunshine without any care at all. The plant blooms only in late summer (usually August). These are truly carefree plants, growing in poor soil with no irrigation and no regular fertilizer. Divide the clumps after a few years to promote vigorous growth and additional blooms.
