| Just moved into a new house and having a flower bed built up against a fence. Would like to know how to best prepare the soil in my area for flowers and vines. Also what are you recommendations for flowers and vines that will look attractive throughout the year. |
| Add plenty of organic matter (compost, leaf mold, peat moss or aged-manure) to your planting site to help the soil drain well, yet hold moisture and provide nutrients to your new plants. There are many perennial flowers and evergreen vines to spruce up your fence area. Try Violet Trumpet vine, Evergreen Clematis, Jasmine, Honeysuckle or Evergreen Wisteria.
