Crown vetch is very difficult to eradicate, which is why it is used as a groundcover along highways for example. Without using chemicals, you will have a hard time. However, the following might work: mow it off as short as possible, leave the clippings in place. Cover with a thick layer of newspaper or cardboard followed by a heavy layer of mulch. The idea is to exclude all light and smother it. This can take up to a year and may need to be repeated. Good luck with your crown vetch!
