I bought several vincas to put in my front yard. Since the beginning I have had maybe two turn green like they are supposed to, and produce lovely flowers. However the other several have wanted to just stay yellow. No matter how much water I give it or how much fertilizer I give it it justs stays yellow. And in the worse case I have had to yank out a couple of them because they died. Please send me your expertise. I have no idea what to do with them. Also what is the living season for vincas as well.

Unfortunately, vinca won't grow well in hot, dry locations. They're best off in rich, humusy soil that will hold moisture and yet drain well, in part shade or sun. You need fertilize with compost or a slow-release organic fertilizer once per year. They are perennial in your climate, but only with proper care. Best of luck next year!
