I've been finding caterpillars in my veggie garden. They don't seem to favor any one plant. They are about 1" long, are a light yellow color, and are very fuzzy. Can you help? By the way, I am new on the web and think that your site is just fantastic! |
Glad you like our site! There are lots of different caterpillars out there, but I think I know the one you have in your garden - it's the Yellow Bear, the larval stage of the Virginian Tiger Moth. They're very common throughout the U.S., and they do have a varied diet. They aren't generally destructive enough to be considered pests, but if you don't want them in your garden, you can relocate them to just about any deciduous tree. Enjoy! |
