The Q&A Archives: Growing Pentas

Question: I am interested to know if Pentas can be grown as a houseplant.

Answer: Pentas can be successfully grown as a houseplant if you provide as much sunlight as possible (set in a bright west or south window), keep the soil moist, and the temperature about 60F degrees. Keep the growth from becoming straggly by pinching out the stem tips regularly. Pentas grown indoors can bloom most anytime of the year, but flowers generally appear in the winter months.
