The Q&A Archives: Cutting Back Radicchio

Question: When cutting back radicchio, are the first radicchio leaves edible?

Answer: Radicchio is not really a "cutting green"; usually radicchio is left to form a head without any cutting backat all -- the leaves would be edible but I think you might stunt the plant. You might try making successive plantings in order to harvest over a longer period.
