Is it better to reseed in the fall or in the spring? Does grass seed get too old?

The best time to seed grass is early fall, followed by very early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. To ensure the maximum possible germination rate and best return for your efforts, it's always a good idea to use fresh seed which has been stored properly.
