We have a beautiful mandevilla vine. We were wondering about the best way to propagate it and when. We have a greenhouse.

Your Mandevilla (Dipladenia) can be propagated through stem cuttings or through root division. Root division would require the plant be un-potted and the root mass cut into divisions. It's a good way to get lots of plants from one source, but in the process you'll have to sacrifice your beautiful plant. An easier method is to take stem cuttings in the spring and root them in a flat of potting soil that's been placed over a source of heat (like a greenhouse heating cable). If you dip the cut ends in rooting hormone before planting, you'll have greater success in the percentage of cuttings that root. Happy propagation!
