The Q&A Archives: New England Cutting Garden

Question: I live in northern New England and am planning a new cutting garden for an existing raised bed that was previously used for vegetables. The garden is 8' x 16' and is in full sun. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Carolyn J. Cummings

Answer: Some nice annual plants for a sunny, cutting garden include zinnia, cosmos, snapdragon, ageratum and sunflower. Some nice perennials include dahlias, Shasta daisies, Rudbeckias, Delphiniums, larkspurs and Coreopsis..
