I am interested in planting Cupressocyparis trees, but I know very little about them. Are they hardy in my zone 5 garden? |
The Leyland Cypress is hardy to about -23F degrees and should survive your average winter lows of -20F. The tree grows quickly into a pyramidal shape with long, slender, upright branches of flattened, gray-green foliage. Cupressocyparis leylandii accepts a wide variety of soils and climates and will grow 20-25 feet tall and 8 feet wide at maturity. |
