The Q&A Archives: Planting Bulbs in North FL

Question: When is the best time to plant bulbs in north Florida? I would like to put some out for spring blooming, but I'm concerned about the timing. Thanks! Melinda Bartoszewicz Tallahassee, FL

Answer: It may be late to plant spring bulbs such as tulips and daffodils in your area. You probably should have them in the ground in November, but if you have the bulbs, plant them now and they may still grow and flower for you. Summer flowering bulbs such as gladiolus can be planted soon in your area..
