The Q&A Archives: Japanese Elm Tree

Question: What is the correct name for a Japanese elm tree?

Answer: Unfortunately I am not familiar with an elm referred to as a Japanese Elm. There is however an elm tree called the Chinese Elm or Lacebark Elm (Ulmus parvifolia) which is native to China, Korea and Japan. Perhaps this is the tree you have in mind.
