The Q&A Archives: Brown Leaves On Ferns

Question: Since the leaves are all turning brown on my fern, should I cut them all back for the winter?

Answer: Yes, when the foliage dies back you can cut it down and remove it from the garden. New fronds will unfurl from the crown of the plant in the spring.
