I would like to take a part of the back yard and get rid of the grass. I would like to replant this area with native Central Florida plants. It is a mostly shady area, only a little sun penetrates this section of the yard in the morning. Do you have any suggestions on the type of plants that would trive in this type of semi-tropical, shady area? I must also say that it can get below freezing for a few days in the winter so plants that are resistant to cold are also necessary.
