The Q&A Archives: Xeriscaping with Florida Plants

Question: I would like to take a part of the back yard and get rid of the grass. I would like to replant this area with native Central Florida plants. It is a mostly shady area, only a little sun penetrates this section of the yard in the morning. Do you have any suggestions on the type of plants that would trive in this type of semi-tropical, shady area? I must also say that it can get below freezing for a few days in the winter so plants that are resistant to cold are also necessary.

Answer: There are many plant which will do great for you in your Florida xeriscape project. In fact, too many to mention! Check out this web site listed below for lots of ideas and great information.
