The Q&A Archives: Morning Glory Tree

Question: I grabbed some seeds off a Morning Glory Tree and was wondering how to germinate them? They are furry and brown if that helps to identify them. Thanks

Answer: It sounds like you have seeds of the Wooly Morning Glory (Argyreia), also known as the Small Woods Rose. They germinate and grow easily in warm, moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Cover seeds to a depth equal to the diameter of the seed, and firm the soil. It's important to train them to a trellis to keep the vines from becoming a crazy tangle. Enjoy your lovely vine!
