| My Lychee plant is raising it's leaves, and they're not sagging as much as they were when it first came up. The leaves are also getting a slightly different color from the first pink/white colour. I grew the Lychee from a fruit that I had eaten. There's not much sun here in Sweden now, there's some, but it feels like it's not much. Is this a bad sign or a good sign (the thing with the leaves), how should I take care of this plant? |
| Litchi chinensis, the lychee plants is a slow-growing tree that prefers lots of sun and humidity. It's difficult to grow in areas that do not have a tropical climate. You can try supplementing the winter sunlight with artificial light indoors. Place fluorescent lights about 6-inches about the top of the plant, and keep the lights on 14-16 hours a day. Mist the leaves daily, add some peatmoss to the soil to give it an acidic soil, and water when the top of the soil begins to dry out. Hope you're successful in duplicating a tropical climate for your lychee. |
