I recently purchased some sparaxis bulbs. I live in zone 7 and want to know if I should plant them now or wait until fall. |
Sparaxis, the Harlequin flower, is native to South Africa, and bears sword-shaped leaves and small funnel-shaped flowers in spikelike clusters on 1-foot stems. Sparaxis blooms over a long period in the late spring, so the corms should be planted now. Set the corms 2-inches deep and 2-3 inches apart in a garden site that receives full sunshine. |
