Do you have a breed of tomato that will flourish in elevated temperatures, eg daytime 95 F, nightime 85 F.? I have been living in the Philippines for the past year and although I can grow tomato plants without too many problems I can't get them to bear fruit. They flower but fail to pollinate. |
Pollen from most varieties of tomatoes becomes sterile during very hot weather. Exceptions are 'Heatmaster' and 'Sunray', both available from Adriance Farm & Flower, 40 North Main St., Cohocton, NY 14826. Drop them a line and request a catalog. You may find other heat-loving veggies in their catalog! |
