| I have both Jalapeno and Habanero pepper plants in containers. I heard you can store these plants over the winter (I live in New England) and put them out again next summer. If this is true exactly how do I do this? |
| Your chili pepper plants, Capsicum, are native to the tropics so are generally treated as annuals when grown in the U. S. However, they can be grown indoors during the winter months if you supply warmth and bright light. Put them in a sunny window, or provide artificial light 14-16 hours each day. The plants will probably flower and produce small peppers. Keep the soil moist and feed a diluted liquid fertilizer in place of every fourth watering. |
