My Elephant Ears seem to have what I call flowers - 6-8" long cylindrical (3/4" diameter) white stalks with what appears to be stamens protruding out of the top. Are these the flower of the Elephant Ear and do they form seeds? |
The flowers of Elephant's Ear (Colocasia esculenta) look like giant callas, but they are rare. Apparently your plant is very happy. The flowers are sterile, and won't bear seeds. Plants are propagated by root division or by cuttings. |
