My peonies are about 3 years old. They grow fine and the flowers look great, but the flowers seem to be too heavy or large for the stem and they wilt to the ground. Any suggestions on keeping them standing upright?

If you look closely at peonies growing in other people's gardens, you'll see that many people place supports around their plants. Top-heavy peonies are a common problem, and many nurseries and mail order catalogs sell supports specifically for this purpose. The plants aren't really wilting (like they would from lack of water), they're simply falling over under the weight of the huge blossoms.
