Both spring and autumn are good times to plant and transplant trees and shrubs. Summer and winter months make the transition difficult because of weather extremes (but it can be done with extra care). Plant now, when natural rainfall and cooler temperatures will encourage new root growth in your pussy willow. It will become established by spring and burst forth with new shoots and leaves.
