| The tea roses I have go to bud, but before they bloom they turn a grayish color and don't fully open. The plants look quite healthy and have plenty of buds on them. What do you think? |
| There's a disease called Botrytis Blight that affects the unopened buds of hybrid tea roses and prevents the blooms from opening. This fungal disease can be spread to other parts of the plant by splashing water. Carefully remove and distroy any affected buds, including their stems. Try to keep water from contacting the foliage or flower buds so fungal spores are not splashed onto healthy tissues. Make sure your plant has plenty of elbow room to encourage good air circulation, and give it as much bright light as possible. |
