| I have several Lycianthus Rantonnei in standard form, and would like to overwinter them. Do they go dormant? Should I put them in the basement or in a sunny window? They are inside now, but are dropping all of their leaves!! Please help me not kill these beautiful plants. |
| Your Paraguay Nightshade is evergreen in mild climates like the Southwestern parts of California. It will lose its leaves in colder climes, but if the roots are kept above freezing, the plant will resprout in the spring. You can overwinter your plant in a garage or basement area, moving it to a bright location in the early spring. Don't take it outdoors until the weather warms up, then give it full sunshine. |
