The Q&A Archives: Tropaeolum Speciosum

Question: I'm looking for seeds of Tropaelolum speciosum. The common name is "Flame Nasturtium". Any ideas on where I might find it? If so, will it grow in Zone 5 or 6? What are its cultural requirements?

Answer: Nasturtiums are perennials in warm-winter climates and annuals elsewhere. They like full sun to light shade, and average, well-draining soil. They have no special requirements other than regular watering in the summertime. Eight different varieties of Nasturtiums are available from Shepherd's Garden Seeds.
