If you have seeds of Angel's Trumpet (Brugmansia), start them 2-3 months before planting out in mid-spring. They're tender plants so don't plant them outside until nighttime temperatures remain above 45F degrees. Sow the seeds 1/8" deep in moistened seed starting mix, cover trays or pots with plastic wrap to help retain moisture, and place them in a warm area, such as on top of the refrigerator. The seeds will sprout in 21-42 days when kept at 65F -75F degrees. Remove the plastic wrap when the seeds sprout and place the seedlings under a source of bright light. You can use fluorescent lights, keeping the light source about 6 inches above the tops of the plants. Leave the lights on 12-14 hours a day and turn them off at night. After the seedlings have developed two pair of leaves you can transplant them into individual pots. When you plant them outdoors, put them into rich, moist soil, in a sunny garden spot.
