The Q&A Archives: Growing Giant Pumpkins

Question: How do you get the most pumpkins per plant when growing giant pumpkins?

Answer: You can have lots of pumpkins, or you can have giant pumpkins, but it's difficult to get both from the same plant. In order to grow really big pumpkins, all competing fruit should be removed from the vine. Here's a great book to help answer your questions and guide you through the process: "How to Grow World-Class Giant Pumpkins", by Don Langevin (Annedawn Publ., PO Box 247, Norton, MA 02766); ISBN# 0-9632793-4-3.
