Does Burpee sell the old-fashioed bittersweet vines? What do I need to know about site location and care. Thanks.

American Bittersweet (Celastrus scandens) plants are available through, Carroll Gardens 444 East Main St. Westminster, MD 21157 800-638-6334. Remember, to get berries on Bittersweet, you need a male and a female. Remember also that Bittersweet can reach 20' in height. Plant in well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Bittersweet benefits from a spring pruning of old wood. Fertilize in the spring, a 5-10-10 would be fine.
