I'm looking for a specific type of chile pepper from Costa Rico that is the size of an M&M candy and purplish in color. It is supposedly hotter than a habanero. Has a strong rose scent and grows wild in the jungles of Costa Rico.

You might be looking for 'Bird's Eye' or 'Scotch Bonnet', both fit your description, and both claim to be hotter than habanero. There's an excellent catalog of chili pepper seeds available through: The Pepper Gal, P. O. Box 23006, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 3307-3006. Drop them a postcard, or give them a call and request their current catalog. (954) 537-5540. Hope you find your pepper!
