The Q&A Archives: Information on Apples and Grapes

Question: In the spring, I would like to plant a grape vine and a dwarf apple tree. What would be a good place to go find information on growing them organically, such as a book, besides my extension agency? Can you recommend any varieties for my small, barely zone 6 garden.

Answer: An excellent resource is "The Orchard Almanac - A Spraysaver Guide" by Stephen Page and Joseph Smillie, Published by Spraysaver Publications, Rockport, Maine 04856.
