The Q&A Archives: Little Lettuce

Question: Two or three years ago I raised some beautiful tiny heads of crisphead or close-to-it lettuce. It was from a Gourmet blend packet of seeds that I believe was Burpee's. I can't find it in the current catalog. Could you find out what it was and if it is available anywhere?

Answer: Shepherd's Garden Seeds has a whole collection of baby vegetables, including a variety of lettuce. Contact them at 30 Irene St., Torrington, CT 06790-6658 (Phone 860-482-3638) A second source of baby vegetable seeds is Nichols Garden Nursery, 1190 North Pacific Hwy., Albany, OR 97321-4580. Enjoy your tiny gourmet veggies!
