My daughter and I are interested in the Mayflower, but we don't know what it looks like or if we can buy it or grow it in our yard. Do you have any information to help us? |
The Mayflower is Epigaea repens, also known as Trailing Arbutus. The plant spreads on the ground, has rust colored twigs, and leathery evergreen leaves. Flower clusters (that appear March - May) consist of fragrant, delicate, shell-pink, waxy blossoms. The plant is hardy from Canada to Florida. Hope this information helps! |
