Is one sun exposure better than an other to plant my red pointsettia? Are there other considerations to make prior to planting?

Poinsettias will put up with some shade, especially late in the day, but prefer a full sun location. They don't want soggy roots, and once established, do well with an occasional soaking alternated with a drying out period of a few days to a week.

Trim the branches back a little at planting. Fertilize gradually throughout the spring and summer.
