The Q&A Archives: Searching for "Sun Flower Vine"

Question: I am looking for a plant called a "sun flower vine." I would like to know its formal name, the conditions in which it grows best and a hint as to where I might be able to find out more about it. Mary Evslin Princeton, NJ

Answer: The only flower I can think of that comes close to being called the "sunflower vine" is the "black-eyed susan vine"- Thunbergia. It's a vining annual with small, black-eyed susan-like flowers. It likes full sun and well drained soil. The following company carries it, Stokes Seed Company P.O. Box 548 Buffalo, NY 14240 716-695-6980 I'm sorry I couldn't think you any other flower for you.
