[ Lima Bean (Phaseolus lunatus 'Illinois Giant') | Posted on December 21, 2014 ]

LQQKing for this seed. We obtained the seed from Sandhill Seed Preservation. Absolutely delicious and beautiful. Maybe a little slow to germinate in some regions (2 weeks). Patience and a light mulching worked.

To the best of my knowledge Sandhill has not offered them since.

Any amount would be greatly appreciated.

These pole limas only grew 3-4 feet. Amazingly, they seemed to do well enough in Arizona's high and dry mountain, short growing season, zone 5A, 6,300 ft. Dry piney, rocky, and heavy clay soil. And oh, so windy! Plus it was a 2nd planting, too late in the season.

Thank you!
